Your brand identity deserves an office space to match

When it comes to designing an office space that reflects your company’s brand identity, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach; take innocent’s Fruit Towers, where the floors are carpeted with fake grass (yes, really), Village Underground’s Shoreditch offices, housed in graffiti-covered repurposed tube carriages, or Lego’s New Fetter Lane site, where a bright yellow spiral staircase designed to look like it’s built from giant Lego bricks greets employees as they come in.

These spaces aren’t just offices — they’re physical extensions of the brands behind them, with every design choice telling a story about the values and ethos of the companies they represent. Investing in a space that really aligns with the look and feel of your brand is as much about creating an environment that energises your team, boosts productivity, and reinforces what your company stands for as it is the visual appearance. Read on to find out how we inject personality into the offices we design.

Little Moons

In just four short weeks, we transformed Little Moons’ Farringdon office into a space as bold as the brand itself. We spruced up the space with themed meeting rooms named after their signature mochi flavours — pistachio, mango, chocolate, and raspberry — each decorated to match the colours of the corresponding product’s packaging.

The brand’s recognisable circle shape is everywhere, from the shelving to the lampshades, coffee tables, and patterned upholstery, creating a visual link to their product. Colourful, modern furniture (supplied by Sagal Group) ties everything together, and of course, no Little Moons office would be complete without a fully stocked freezer of their mochi ice cream for employees to enjoy.

PriestmanGoode

At design consultancy PriestmanGoode, we went with a more pared back approach, resulting in an office space that perfectly captured the essence of their design philosophy: elegant, functional, and innovative. Deep burgundy and sage green are used sparingly to add interest without overwhelming the simplicity of the design, and to delineate zones within the office.

We also made sure to incorporate a range of carefully curated design elements that truly reflect the brand’s essence. These included a timeless Eames lounge chair — a nod to the renowned American designers — model trains and airplanes (PriestmanGoode specialises in interior design for vehicles), and a selection of design and culture publications. Thoughtful touches like these create an atmosphere that’s both visually compelling and aligned with the brand’s core values.

Nium

For Nium, the global leader in real-time, cross-border payments, it was a case of designing an office that was playful yet professional. Teal and pale pink accents bring a sense of fun to the space, while white walls and grey carpets maintain a slick, polished feel.

Having previously been at a WeWork, the Nium team wanted a space that allowed for socialisation, so we added a ping pong table for communal use, as well as a range of seating options to facilitate collaborative work. Biophilic elements help to bring the outside in, with a green wall featuring the company logo welcoming staff on their way in. Meeting booths were named after London Underground lines, celebrating Nium’s arrival in the UK as a Singapore-headquartered company working to accelerate its international expansion.

Five by Five

Five by Five is an independent creative agency recognised around the world for its out-of-the-box solutions to creative problems. Five by Five aims to be innovative, collaborative, courageous, transparent, and resilient — these values became the guiding principles behind our design. For this project, we brought in street artist Rick Walker (@rickyalso) to breathe life into the space with a hand-painted mural reading ‘Let’s do something big together’, setting the tone for the team.

Five by Five’s Head of Creative got in on the action too, painting an incredible London scene on the office’s back wall. Annabel Mackie, Managing Director at Five by Five, commented: ‘We’re really excited by this move’ adding that the new office ‘represents the fantastic achievements of the last 12 months’, giving the team ‘an inspiring and welcoming space to work in’. Sustainability is another of the brand’s core values (Five by Five holds an EcoVadis Gold accreditation), so we incorporated this into the design by partnering with Rawside, a company specialising in sustainable office furniture. We decided on an open-plan layout to encourage collaboration between employees.

Haig Housing

Working with charities like Haig — who’ve been providing affordable housing for the UK’s ex-service community for over 100 years — is always a privilege. After more than 50 years at their previous office in Morden, the time came for the Haig team to move to a more central location, and in September 2023, Mountbarrow House in Victoria became their new home.

The leadership team at Haig wanted a workspace that would motivate their staff — a place that instilled pride and purpose in their employees the moment they walked through the door. We achieved this by focusing on thoughtful design and carefully chosen finishes, bringing the space to life with bespoke carpeting to match the charity’s colour scheme, photographs, and wall graphics.

As we’ve seen, offices designed by Soul Spaces are built to leave a lasting impression; they reflect the identities of the brands they represent in a way that’s sure to impress clients. More importantly, though, an office designed to embody your company’s values is an office that sparks creativity, boosts productivity, and improves employee wellbeing.

These days, slapping a logo on the wall of an otherwise lacking space just won’t cut it — your office should evoke your brand’s identity so unmistakably that anyone would recognise it as yours, even without the logo. Colour, shape, texture, and layout all contribute to creating a space that’s just as unique as your brand.

Having worked with all kinds of businesses — from advertising agencies to design consultancies, recruitment companies, venture capital firms, and everything in between — we’re ideally placed to create an office perfectly aligned with your brand identity.
