Patrick Morgan have been in a WeWork in Canary Wharf and wanted to change the way they worked and utilised the workplace. The move to Hackney Wick is a real example of a business thinking outside the box both on workplace and location.
Having purchased the shell and core unit, our client wanted to create a home from home workplace for his young team. The space needed to have all the comforts of home and the WeWork plus the added bonuses of a space in a local community which the team could personalise as the business grew.
Lightly branded, bold colours and soft furnishings have made the space a real destination point and encouraged the team to get work together in a more collaborative way.
The challenges of a shell and core unit require flex and fast decisions when on site which we have shown throughout as well as a can-do attitude from the on-site team.
We maximised the budget and the space with the floor plan and ensured we worked as hard as we can to install the nice things the office requires.
The project boasts a bespoke kitchen and tea point, wet room DDA compliant shower and brand-new HVAC system. The industrial ceiling is complimented by the minimalistic approach and slim light fittings to encourage as much ceiling height as possible and keep the space feeling timeless but modern.
