Where to go for lunch in West London

Thinking of treating yourself or your team to something other than the same old Tesco meal deal but stuck for where to go?

Check out our round up of the best west London eateries for grabbing a quick and delicious bite with colleagues right round the corner from your office space.

The best lunch spot in Hammersmith

While there’s no shortage of well-known working lunch destinations in Hammersmith (think Bills, Leon, Wasabi and Nandos) there are plenty of independent restaurants and cafés to try out in the area too. Among our favourites is Sprigs Vietnamese Eatery, which serves a fresh and beautifully prepared menu of Vietnamese favourites including summer rolls, pho noodle soup and of course the legendary Banh Mi. It’s the perfect lunchtime destination if you’re based at The Office Group’s stunning One Lyric Square location.

Grab a bite in South Kensington

South Kensington is certainly better known for its iconic museums than its foodie scene. You won’t find any trendy, bustling food markets here, but the area does offer some particularly great options for lovers of Middle Eastern and Lebanese food. Paramount Lebanese Kitchen on Gloucester Road, not far from Argyll’s luxury workspace at the iconic Michelin House is well worth a visit on your lunch hour. Create your own box, wrap or combo from a mouth watering selection of authentic, Lebanese dishes such as fattoush salad, tabbouleh, shawarma and falafel to enjoy on the go or back at the office.

Where to go for lunch in Notting Hill

With its strong cultural influences from the Caribbean, it’s no surprise that Notting Hill is home to an absolute gem of a Caribbean takeaway, Jay Dees Catering. Located just off Portobello Road, this hole in the wall is a hit with locals in the know. Your lunch money will go a long way here on classics like curry mutton and jerk chicken, with a sizeable lunchtime meal costing you as little as a fiver. Worth the 15-minute stroll up Portobello Road if you’re working at The Office Group’s United House workspace.

The best lunch spot in Paddington

For a casual lunch on the go near offices in Paddington, head over to Merchant Square. Here you’ll find a great selection of top street food vendors like Hola Guacamole who will spice up your day with their freshly made burritos, or Aloo Tama who are serving up classic Nepalese/Tibetan staples like moreish momos, chowmein and curry wraps.
